Advanced Facial Treatments

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a procedure using a medical grade scalpel to remove the uppermost layer of your skin removing dead skin cells, trapped oil and vellous hair (peach fuzz).

Why choose dermaplaning?

  • This treatment will leave your skin super soft and smooth.
  • Exfoliates dead skin cells.
  • Removes vellous hair (peach fuzz), non-terminal hair.
  • Flawless make up application.
  • Increased penetration of skincare products from 8% to 80%.
  • Improves the appearance of fine lines, dark spots and large pores.
  • Stimulates collagen synthesis and creates a radiant healthy glow.

There is no downtime to this treatment just healthy glowing skin.  This treatment is suitable for every 4 weeks.

Will Vellus Hair Grow Back Thicker or Darker?

No, removing vellus hair through dermaplaning will not cause the hair to grow back thicker or darker.  This is a misconception as shaving or dermaplaning vellus hair will simply create a blunt tip as the hair grows back  which may make it feel thicker. The structure of the hair follicle has not been interfered with therefore the hair cannot change growing back thicker or darker.

Microneedling

Microneedling also known as skin needling or collagen induction therapy is a procedure using a CE Medical automatic microneedling therapy system made up of tiny needles that create multiple superficial puncture wounds, releasing growth factors that stimulate the fibroblasts creating new collagen and elastin.  The aim of the treatment is to traumatise the skin without collateral damage to the epidermis and healthy tissue.

The recovery is rapid with very little downtime, residual pain or discomfort.  Microneedling increases the availability of cell nutrients and helps to strengthen the collagen in vessel walls and connective tissue.  It increases the density of the epidermis lessening the appearance of broken capillaries.

All products used for this treatment are medical grade, sterile and single use where necessary.

Conditions that can be treated using microneedling are:

  • Premature skin ageing
  • Scaring and acne scars
  • Stretch makes
  • Hyperpigmentation and age spots
  • Large pores
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Tightening of the skin
  • Skin rejuvenation

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a technique developed in 1952 by the French Doctor Michael Pistor which uses micro injections of vitamins, enzymes, antioxidants and plant extracts to rejuvenate and tighten skin, improve hair quality as well as remove excess fat.  With a growing number of people turning to homeopathic and natural extract based medication to improve health and wellbeing, it makes sense that beauty should be enhanced using plant and vitamin formulas.  Mesotherapy gives you the assurance that only natural formulas are penetrating your skin to rejuvenate it.
